What to Expect

01

Tea, coffee, or wine

Call me old-fashioned but I like to know who I’m dealing with before knowing what we’re dealing with. And that’s not something we can do over a phone call or a web meeting. Nothing can match genuine human interaction. So, pick the beverage, and let’s set a date.

02

Clear air

I hold the pen; you provide the ink. This is a partnership. I want to help you reach your destination, but I can’t carry you there. There are things I simply can’t do before you’ve done them yourself. So, we’ll have to figure out what they are before we get going.

03

Tree leaves

As much as I would like to say our time together and shared experience is payment enough, unfortunately, I cannot. Because, it’s not sustainable. But money is never the primary goal,so we can talk about splitting tree leaves when we get to it.

04

Living in the moment

My process is all-consuming—inspiration strikes at any moment. I can’t be in two places at once. To maintain focus and consistency of voice, I take one adventure at a time.

05

Freedom

There is an advantage to being lost, to starting over, or forging a new path, and that is the freedom to go anywhere and explore anything. It’s a waste to limit ourselves to our expectations. After all, the journey is the fun part. Trust the process.

A little about me

Four years ago, I made the decision to reinvent myself. I diverted from the path laid before me to explore living for passion and purpose instead. So, I became a writer. And although it came at a cost, it was well worth it.

I was stuck in the same loop for years. Without a mentor or a guide, my approach was raw and unconventional. I kept reinventing myself, starting over, over and over, exploring all the forms of writing it offered: novels, poetry, short stories, resumes and cover letters, articles, scripts, copywriting…I even dabbled with songs. I had a lot to learn, to teach myself, and it took time.

Yes, personal growth counts, the search for meaning, purpose, and peace, but none of these things pushed me to unlock my full potential. Until the day I said, “Fuck it.”

If I was going to do this, then I’m doing it my way—no more playing by the rules and following recipes. Succeed or fail, no matter how many times I have to start over, the only way this is going to happen is if I listen to one voice and one voice alone, mine.

And you know what. It worked.
